After 18 months of construction, MACC and Moberly Parks and Recreation, held a ribbon cutting for their new ballfields on Monday, April 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Howard Hils Athletic Complex at 2002 Highway 24 West in Moberly.

These new ballfields were made possible in a partnership agreement through the City of Moberly and Moberly Parks and Recreation for MACC’s Baseball & Softball programs that started this school year.

Some of the renovations that were done on these fields were constructing the dugouts, creating the bull pens, batting cages and a lot of dirt work.

Director of Moberly Parks and Recreation Troy Bock enthused about this project, “The project is a great example of a win-win partnership between MACC and the City of Moberly which will bring new activity and opportunities to MACC while bringing new activity to the Howard Hils Athletic Complex late winter through spring.”

The MACC athletes, coaches, MACC staff, City representatives, Park Board Members, Chamber Ambassadors and more gathered at this event to view the fields and cut the ribbon

“It is wonderful to see this expansion of MACC’s athletic programs and this great community partnership. We look forward to welcoming visiting teams to the area and supporting MACC’s programs for years to come,” said Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Megan Schmitt.
