Attendees had the opportunity to learn about this project which has been on the City’s radar for two years. The facility gives boaters the ability to add larger equipment, back right into the water, a new parking lot at the old basketball court to the South and in addition, the project adds a brand-new ADA-accessible parking space. In addition, the project was funded mainly through a grant from the Missouri Department of Conversation and was able to be obtained due to the high number of users of Rothwell Park.
“Rothwell Park is the top recreation destination in Moberly and it is tremendously exciting to see new additions added to the park annually. We are excited to see visitors and community members alike continue to use Rothwell Park,” said Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Maranda Dollich.
Today Moberly Parks and Recreation has a variety of programming throughout the year to unplug and reconnect. For more information about their facilities and programs visit moberlymo.org
