Black History Month Movie - The Great Debaters

The Moberly Arts Council in concert with the Randolph County Historical Society, Wal-Mart Store #40, and Little Dixie Regional Libraries Presents, The Great Debaters. A drama based on the true story of Melvin B. Tolson, a professor at Wiley College Texas and a Moberly native. In 1935, he inspired students to form the school's first debate team, which went on to challenge Harvard in the national championship.

This is a free event open to the public thanks to a generous grant provided by Wal-Mart Store #40 of Moberly.
