MACC HEALTH SCIENCES BUILDING SHOWCASES RENOVATION

The Marie F. O’Keefe Center for Health Sciences Building at Moberly Area Community College (MACC) celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 14, at 10:30 a.m. at 101 S. College Avenue in Moberly.

The newly renovated facility was thanks to Mrs. O’Keefe who graduated from MACC in 1930. Her passion for the nursing and health sciences industry lead to a gift to the college of over $1.1 million to date.

This renovation represents a significant investment in healthcare education. Attendees, including local leaders and community members, toured the state-of-the-art classrooms, labs, and resources designed to support the next generation of healthcare professionals.

“This renovation has transformed the facility into a premier educational space for area health science students at MACC. We thank MACC and Mrs. O’Keefe for their investment in the community and students,” said Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Specialist, Michelle Westhues.
